Knife Detector

Instigated by new DfT legislation, the knife detector has been developed for calibration of archway metal detectors.

Two sizes currently exist;

• DfT Test Piece Standard 1 with a 12cm Opinel Knife Blade
  
  
• DfT Test Piece Standard 2 with a 10cm Opinel Knife Blade
  

In  February  2010,  the  DfT  intend  to  make  the  more  sensitive Test  Piece  Standard  2 the  industry standard.
